Clone event

Cloning an event can be helpful to avoid routine work to set up the events, i.e. adding event details and schedules.


Steps to clone an event


Step 1: Find event you would like to clone from the Calendar. Access the event page and click on Actions button:

Step 2: Click on clone event and select the settings for cloning and press on Confirm:

There are two options:

  • Clone a whole event - an exact copy of the event will be created
  • Clone schedule, products and textual information (special provisions) to already existing event. If this option is selected, you may choose the target event (it should be "empty" - no classes or other information added) and you may also select, which information should be cloned.

In addition, when there are any entry rules set on competitions (for example, min and max age of athlete or horse, licence requirements etc), there will be a choice of whether to copy entry rules from the source event or to create new entry rules from global templates (if any set for the type of competitions in the event).


Step 3: After confirming, you will be redirected to the new event, please check the following:

  • Name of the event, it will include "Copy of...." - please change it.
  • Dates - by default the new event will be set for 2 months from date today.
  • Entry rules for competitions - will be either copied from the source event or (if specified so) prefilled from template.
  • Cups and series - they are not copied and should be added to event and to competitions
