How to immatriculate a horse to Equibel database?
To compete at regional, communautaire, national or international equestrian shows, a horse should be immatriculated to Equibel. A life-time (paid) immatriculation is required to compete at higher competition levels.
For immatriculation, a horse should have correct identifiers, including EU-compliant passport, a microchip and a registration in the Belgian Horse Confederation. To submit a horse immatriculation form you would need to have a horse´s passport or its copy.
- Some pages from a national passports will be requested in the horse´s immatriculation form. These pages are needed for the correct identification of a horse and cross-checking the accuracy of the submitted data.
- UELN, microchip number and FEI IDs should be unique across the Equibel database. The submission of duplicate horses is not allowed. If your horse is already entered to the database and you would like to correct its data, please contact the Help Desk.
